CLASS LEVELS

CLASS LEVEL GUIDELINES

A consistent weekly Iyengar yoga practice develops physical and mental strength, flexibility, self awareness, inspiration and well being. Please read the class level guidelines below before attending any classes.  Please turn up 15 minutes before classes start. 

FOUNDATION - All Welcome

For those new to yoga or those who require a good basic stretch. This class level works on the foundation poses that increase flexibility, build strength and give one a good grounding in the practice. This class level is suitable for all fitness levels.

INTERMEDIATE

For those who consistently practice Iyengar yoga and have been for the last 12 months or more. This class level builds on the foundation poses and now introduces headstand, backbends and many other poses. The more experienced yoga students may be given variations of some poses.

Note : Beginners must attend foundation level classes.

EXPERIENCED

A stronger more intense class for highly experienced students who consistently practice Iyengar yoga and have been attending weekly classes for the last three years or more. Advanced variations of shoulderstand, headstand and other poses are introduced plus pranayama.

WORKSHOPS

Open workshops are for those who have been practicing yoga consistently. The more experienced students may be given variations of some poses.

ONE TO ONE – All Welcome

Open to individuals, groups or clubs who want their own personalized sessions or classes. Programs will be designed accordingly. Contact 9949 9951 or email yoga@theyogatemple.com
